2025년 신령직 위원회

교회 광고를 통해서 알려드렸던 것처럼 지난 주일 저녁에 장로님들과 신년 기도회를 평화기도원에서 1박 2일로 다녀왔습니다. 교회전반에 대해서 함께 나누고 기도하는 시간을 가지고 은혜 안에 마쳤습니다. 특별히 제직/임원회 세미나를 통해서 광고드렸던것처럼 이번 신년기도회를 가지면서 2025년 신령직을 위해서 작년부터 10월부터 기도하여 준비한 명예/시무신령직 직분자를 선출하고 돌아왔습니다.  

선출기준은 목회계획서(8-12p)안에 포함되어 있는 한미연회의 평신도 신령상 직제 운영세칙을 기준으로 해당되는 명예 장로와 권사와 집사와 시무 장로와 권사와 집사를  선출하였습니다.  

명예 장로와 권사와 집사는 신령직 직제 운영세칙 제 6장 28조 1,2,8항에 의거하여 결의하였고 임원회를 통해서 최종 인준받을 것입니다. 임원회의 인준을 받은 후 각 신령직 후보에게 명예 신령직 수락 의향서를 1-2주안에 발송할 예정입니다.  수락 의향서의 내용을 잘 읽어보고 기도로 의사를 결정하여 교회 사무실(박효연 목사)에 2월 23일까지 제출해 주세요. (혹시 성지순례를 참여하시는 분들은 출발 전에 수락서에 사인하시고 카톡으로 결정을 바로 알려 주시기를 부탁드립니다.)

시무 장로와 권사와 집사는 신령직 운영세칙 2장-4장에 의거하여 선출하였고 신령직 후보에게 시무 신령직 수락 의향서를 1-2주 안에 발송할 예정입니다.  그 안의 내용을 잘 읽어보시고 기도로 결정하셔서 교회 사무실에 제출해 주세요.  교인총회 2주 전, 후보자 발표 후, 시무 장로와 권사 후보는 교회총회 재석 2/3 찬성으로 선출합니다.

또한 명예/시무 장로와 권사, 집사는 선출과정을 모두 마친 후 한미연회의 장로와 권사와 집사 교육을 이수해야 합니다.

일정: 3월23일(시무 명예 권사/장로), 3월 24일(명예/시무 장로)

집사교육은 개체교회가 실시합니다.  시무 장로/권사 후보들은 연회교육이 끝난 후 과정고시와 자격심사를 받게 됩니다.  교육과정과 과정고시와 심사에 대한 조항은 제 5장 21조부터 25조를 참고 부탁드립니다.  

체리힐제일교회의 신령직 직분자를 선출을 위해서 모든 성도님들은 앞으로 우리 교회를 이끌어갈 리더는 선출하는 영적 분별시간이 되도록 많은 기도를 부탁드립니다.  

2025 Spiritual Leadership Committee

As announced through the church bulletin, last Sunday evening, the elders and I went on a 1-night, 2-day New Year's prayer retreat to Peace Prayer Mountain. We shared and prayed together about the overall church matters and completed the retreat in grace. Specifically, as announced through the Leadership/Church Council seminar, during this New Year's prayer retreat, we selected the honorary and active spiritual leaders for 2025, whom we have been praying for and preparing since October of last year.

The selection criteria are based on the lay spiritual leadership operational guidelines of the Korean American Global Methodist Church, which are included in the pastoral plan (pages 8-12). Based on these guidelines, we selected the honorary elders, exhorters, and deacons, as well as active elders, exhorters, and deacons.

The honorary elders, exhorters, and deacons were decided according to Articles 6, 28, Sections 1, 2, and 8 of the Spiritual Leadership Operational Guidelines, and they will receive final approval through the Executive Committee. After the approval from the Executive Committee, we will send out acceptance letters to the honorary spiritual leaders within 1-2 weeks. Please read the acceptance letter carefully, decide prayerfully, and submit your decision to the church office (Pastor Park Hyo-Yeon) by February 23. (If you are participating in the pilgrimage, please sign the acceptance letter before departure and inform us of your decision via KakaoTalk.)

The active elders, exhorters, and deacons were selected based on Sections 2 to 4 of the Spiritual Leadership Operational Guidelines, and we will send out the acceptance letters for active spiritual leaders within 1-2 weeks. Please read the contents carefully, decide prayerfully, and submit your decision to the church office. Two weeks before the congregational meeting, after the candidate announcement, active elder and deacon candidates will be elected with a 2/3 majority vote from the church meeting attendees.

Additionally, after the selection process for the honorary/active elders, deacons, and trustees is completed, they must complete the leadership training required by the Korean Methodist Church.

Schedule:

March 23 (Active and Honorary Exhorter/Elder)

March 24 (Honorary/Active Elder)

Deacon training will be conducted by the local church. After completing the conference training, active elder/deacon candidates will undergo an examination and qualification review. Please refer to Articles 21 to 25 of Chapter 5 for details on the training process and qualification review.

For the selection of spiritual leaders at First Global Methodist Church of Cherry Hill, we ask all members to spend time in prayer for spiritual discernment as we elect the leaders who will guide our church in the future.
